By Alexander Concepcion, Taco Street Locating. Checked Oct 2, 2026 against each property’s own website (linked in the table).

Most Austin communities we checked on Oct 2, 2026 do not fold utilities into rent. Their own websites list flat monthly charges, such as trash, pest control or internet, and bill electricity and usually water by usage. Progress at Tech Ridge lists internet as included, and Reveal 54 bills water through the monthly rent payment.

“Included” varies by property. Reveal 54 says water and sewer are billed by usage and paid with the rent payment, so they are not free; Hillside on Parmer’s required internet is a flat monthly charge rather than a waived one. Only the Progress at Tech Ridge row lists internet as an included feature, and that property does not itemize its fees, so ask what the total monthly price includes. RUBS means the utility bill is split among residents by a formula.

How do I compare utility costs between two buildings?

Ask each office for a written monthly estimate for your exact home that lists the flat charges, the average water, sewer and trash usage, and the electric provider options. Add the flat charges to base rent, then add an estimate for usage so you can compare buildings on the same basis.

Frequently asked questions

Do any Austin apartments include all utilities in rent?

None of the eight communities on this page list electricity as included. Progress at Tech Ridge lists internet as an included apartment feature, and Reveal 54 pays water and sewer through the monthly rent payment but bills it by usage (checked Oct 2, 2026).

What is a flat utility package?

It is a fixed monthly charge instead of a usage bill. Examples on this page are Hillside on Parmer’s $55 internet and $25 trash charges and 1900 Parmer’s $12 trash removal and $30 valet trash.

What does RUBS mean?

RUBS stands for ratio utility billing system, where a property splits a water, trash or similar bill among residents by a formula. Paseo lists water, trash, sewage, gas, boiler and electricity billed through RUBS.

Is electricity ever billed by the apartment?

Yes. Several properties on this page list electricity as usage-based, billed by a third-party provider or set up by the resident. Check the provider options with the leasing office.

How current are these charges?

They are what each property’s website showed on Oct 2, 2026. Fees change, and some properties do not itemize every charge, so ask for a written cost sheet before you apply.

Does Taco Street Locating charge to help compare total monthly costs?

No. The service is free for renters. Apartment communities pay us, so it does not change your lease or your specials. I’m Alexander Concepcion, and I’ll be your point of contact.
