How much does Calder cost? (checked Oct 3, 2026)

On Oct 3, 2026, Calder’s floor plans page showed three plans with base rent from $900 (A1, 663 sq ft), $1,015 (A2, 772 sq ft) and $1,140 (B1, two-bedroom, 979 sq ft). The site’s total for each, base rent plus mandatory fees, was exactly $132 higher: $1,032, $1,147 and $1,272. The site says all prices are based on varying lease terms.

The site banner advertises 8 weeks free on select homes. The terms are not published, so ask which homes qualify and how the concession is applied. The FAQ says leases run from 3 to 15 months.

What floor plans does Calder have?

Plan Beds / baths Size (sq ft) Base rent from Total with mandatory fees Homes shown
A1 1BR/1BA 663 $900 $1,032 24
A2 1BR/1BA 772 $1,015 $1,147 19
B1 2BR/1BA 979 $1,140 $1,272 4

Source: Calder’s own floor plans page, Oct 3, 2026. The page’s plan carousel showed only these three plans, although the site says it has more than 10 floor plans, so larger two- and three-bedroom plans are not priced here. The site says prices are based on varying lease terms and that totals do not include non-mandatory fees. The older Lakeside at La Frontera website for this address no longer loads, and I did not find a notice on the current site explaining the name change. Prices and availability change daily.

What fees does Calder charge besides rent? (from Calder’s own site, Oct 3, 2026)

Fee Amount Required?
Mandatory monthly fees (combined) $132/mo, the gap between total and base rent on every plan; not itemized Required
Application fee Not published on the pages I read; confirm with the office Required
Security deposit Not published on the pages I read; confirm with the office Confirm
Water, sewer and trash Billed monthly by allocation; amounts not published Required
Electricity Set up in your name with a provider you choose Required
Renters insurance Required; cost depends on your policy Required
Pet fee $400 nonrefundable per pet If you have a pet
Pet rent $20/mo per pet If you have a pet
Late fee Begins on the 4th of the month; amount not published If rent is late
Card payment convenience fee Charged for debit or credit card rent payments; ACH has no fee Optional

The site’s pet page states $400 and $20, while its pet policy block and FAQ say to contact the office for pet fee and rent amounts, so confirm those figures in writing. I am not using third-party listing sites for fee numbers, so I have not guessed amounts the site does not publish.

The site allows cats and dogs, with up to two pets per home and a list of restricted breeds that includes Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Huskies and mixes of them. Its pet page lists a $400 nonrefundable fee per pet and $20 monthly pet rent per pet, though other text on the same site says to contact the office for the amounts, so confirm them before you apply.

What are the lease terms, utilities and parking at Calder?

The FAQ says Calder offers lease terms between 3 and 15 months, and the floor plans page says prices are based on varying lease terms. Utilities are not included: water, sewer and trash are billed monthly by allocation, and you set up electricity in your own name. Renters insurance is required. The site offers internet but not cable, and does not offer on-site recycling. I did not find parking details on the pages I read.
