By Alexander Concepcion, Taco Street Locating. Checked Oct 2, 2026 against each property’s own website (linked in the table).
Houston buildings checked on Oct 2, 2026 state lease terms from 3 months to 18 months. The Ivy lists 3 to 15 months, Grey House says terms as low as 3 months are typically available, Rye Heights lists 6 to 18 and Pearl at the Mix 6 to 15. Broadstone EaDo lists 12 to 15 months.
Which Houston apartments list short-term or flexible lease terms? (checked Oct 2, 2026)
| Community | Lease terms, as the property words it | Related note on the same site |
|---|---|---|
| The Ivy at River Oaks (FAQ) | “Flexible lease terms ranging from 3 to 15 months” | Every lease has an early lease termination clause; the FAQ asks for written notice |
| Grey House at River Oaks (FAQ) | “Lease terms as low as 3-months are typically available”; another answer says terms “vary from 3-15 depending on availability” | The screening process typically takes 3-7 business days |
| Pearl at the Mix (FAQ) | “6 – 15 month lease terms” | Utilities are not included |
| Brava (FAQ) | Terms vary by availability and “may include standard 12-month, 15-month longer, or flexible lease terms” | No range for the flexible terms on the page I read |
| Luminary (FAQ) | Same wording as Brava: 12-month, 15-month or longer, or flexible lease terms, by availability | No range for the flexible terms on the page I read |
| Metro Midtown (site) | Banner: up to 6 weeks free “on qualifying 12-15 month lease terms for a limited time” | The offer depends on the term, so confirm it in writing |
| Calais Midtown (FAQ) | The FAQ says flexible terms are offered and residents can choose from “short-term and long-term lease options” depending on availability; no range given. At renewal, “short extensions or month-to-month terms” can be discussed | Lease length can affect monthly pricing, per the FAQ; giving notice late can lead to month-to-month rates |
| Broadstone EaDo (FAQ) | “Our Houston community offers lease terms from 12 to 15 months” | The amenities and floor plans pages list “Furnished Apartments Available” |
| 1810 Main (amenities) | The amenities page links to furniture rental options for a furnished apartment | No lease range on the page I read |
| Rye Heights (FAQ) | “We currently offer 6 – 18 month leases,” subject to availability; “We offer as low as a 6 month lease” | Furnished: “We do not offer furnished homes directly, but can refer to furniture rental companies” |
A shorter lease is not always priced the same as a longer one, and several offers here are tied to a specific term, so the cheapest term on paper may not be the one you want. Calais Midtown says lease length can affect monthly pricing, and none of the other pages publishes a short-term premium, so ask for the monthly rent at your exact term and move-in date in writing. “Not stated” means the page I read did not say.

What should I ask before I sign a short or odd-length lease?
Ask for the monthly rent at your exact term, whether the price changes if the term moves by a month, what happens at renewal, and whether the special still applies. At Metro Midtown the free weeks depend on a 12 to 15 month term, and at Calais Midtown a late move-out notice can mean month-to-month rates.
