What should I ask before I sign a short or odd-length lease?
Ask for the monthly rent at your exact term, whether the price changes if the term moves by a month, what happens at renewal, and whether the special still applies. At Burnett Lofts the free weeks change with the term, and at The Katy a month-to-month change after year one comes with fees and a rent increase.
