How much income do Austin apartments require?
Of the communities I checked, Encore Lakeside says applicants are generally required to earn at least three times the monthly base rent, and Varenna Lakeside in Georgetown lists a minimum of 3x the monthly rent in gross income. At three times rent, the rent is about one-third of gross monthly income before taxes. Varenna Lakeside lists a higher bar for guarantors: income of at least 5x the monthly rent. What credit score do Austin apartments require?
Vireo Twelve Oaks is the only community here that publishes score tiers: 649 or above is approved, 570 to 648 may qualify with additional conditions, and 569 or below is denied. The Prescott says applicants with no credit score or a lower credit score may be accepted with conditions requiring a higher deposit or may re-apply with a guarantor, and Trailhead East lists a security deposit that varies based on approved credit.
